U.S. stocks close lower

NEW YORK, July 26 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended lower on Tuesday.

The Dow decreased 0.71 percent to 31,761.54, the S&P 500 fell 1.15 percent to 3,921.05, and the Nasdaq slid 1.87 percent to 11,562.57.
