Italy's Paltrinieri wins men's 1500m freestyle at FINA worlds

BUDAPEST, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Italy's Gregorio Paltrinieri won the men's 1500m freestyle title in a new championships record time of 14 minutes 32.80 seconds at the 19th FINA World Championships here on Saturday.

Bobby Finke of the United States took silver in 14:36.70, and Germany's Florian Wellbrock grabbed bronze in 14:36.94.
