LAGOS, June 21 (Xinhua) -- An official in Nigeria's restive northwest state of Zamfara said on Tuesday that authorities have rescued over 3,000 abducted people since 2019 in the state.
The victims regained their freedom through the peace, reconciliation and dialogue programs initiated by the state government in the past three years, said Ibrahim Dosara, the state commissioner for information, at a news conference in Gusau, the state capital.
