DAR ES SALAAM, June 3 (Xinhua) -- The government of Tanzania has approved 4 billion Tanzanian shillings (about 1.7 million U.S. dollars) for the construction of the headquarters of the African Court on Human and People's Rights (AfCHPR), a senior official said on Friday.
Justice Imani Daud Aboud, the AfCHPR president, told a news conference that the headquarters of the court will be built in Tanzania's northern city of Arusha which is also the headquarters of the East African Community (EAC).
