LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is fighting for his premiership after a series of scandals including the revelation that alcohol-fuelled events were held in his offices and residence during COVID-19 lockdowns.
Johnson could face a vote of confidence in his leadership if 54 of his 359 Conservative lawmakers submit a letter to the chairman of the party’s "1922 Committee" which represents lawmakers who have no government jobs.
