Ecuador reports 158 new COVID-19 infections, 250,986 in total

QUITO, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Ecuador has registered 250,986 COVID-19 cases and 10,202 deaths in total since the beginning of the pandemic, after 158 new infections and 25 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health said Monday.

Meanwhile, the ministry also reported another six "probable deaths" from COVID-19 in the same period, for a total of 4,688.
