Lithuania tightens COVID-19 restrictions for travelers amid fears over new strain

VILNIUS, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Travelers from some 200 countries and regions are required for both negative COVID-19 test results and 14-day self-quarantine upon arrival in Lithuania as of Monday.

People arriving from the countries affected must have a negative result from COVID-19 test performed within 48 hours before arrival in Lithuania or within 24 hours after arrival and subject to a 14-day self-quarantine, according to the country's health ministry.
