MAPUTO, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The European Union (EU) has donated through the World Food Program (WFP) a total of 7.6 million euros (around 9.22 million U.S. dollars) to meet the growing food needs in Mozambique driven by climate change, insecurity, displacement and the socioeconomic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a press release distributed on Tuesday in Maputo by WFP, the financing will also be applied to strengthen the country's capacity to respond to the natural disasters.
