Roundup: NYC mayor calls for travel ban on UK as coronavirus variant found in 4 U.S. states

NEW YORK, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Tuesday asked for a travel ban on the United Kingdom, as infections of a new, more contagious variant of the coronavirus that was initially discovered in the UK have been found in four U.S. states.

"It's time to STOP the half measures. It's time for a travel ban on the United Kingdom," tweeted the mayor.
