LJUBLJANA, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Slovenia on Friday reported 1,752 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the national tally of confirmed cases to 123,777, according to official figures.
A combined 8,914 PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and rapid antigen tests were performed in Slovenia on Thursday. The positivity rate was 35.3 percent for PCR tests, and 6.5 percent for rapid tests. Thirty-one new deaths took the toll to 2,735.
