Iran allocates fund to buy COVID-19 vaccine: official

TEHRAN, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Iran has allocated financial resource to buy novel coronavirus vaccine from abroad, Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Abdolnasser Hemmati said on Thursday.

"There are no more obstacles in the way of purchasing coronavirus vaccine," Hemmati was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency, adding that his country has allocated 200 million euros (243.73 million U.S. dollars) for the vaccine imports.
