KIEV, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine will spend a record high of nearly 160 billion hryvnias (5.8 billion U.S. dollars) on medicine in 2021, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said in his official Telegram channel on Wednesday.

"The main increase in spending falls on medicine and education. In 2021, Ukraine will have record spending on the medicine of almost 160 billion hryvnias, which is 30 billion hryvnias (1 billion U.S. dollars) more than this year, and almost 65 billion hryvnias (2.3 billion U.S. dollars) more than in 2019. In two years, medicine fundings will grow by more than 60 percent," Shmyhal said.
