NEW YORK, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 infection rate was 2.52 percent on a 7-day average in New York City, up from 2.31 percent one day earlier, tweeted Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday.
The rate has lingered over 2 percent for days, gradually edging toward 3 percent, the mark that the mayor once said would certify an arrival of a second wave of the pandemic in the city.
