Amazon Web Services announces plan to launch second region in India


SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon, announced on Friday the expansion of its services in India to include a second infrastructure region by mid-2022.

The new AWS Asia Region, which will consist of three Availability Zones at launch, will join the existing nine AWS Regions and 26 Availability Zones across Asia in India, Australia, Greater China, Japan, Korea, and Singapore, the company said.
