BEIRUT, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon registered on Wednesday the highest daily increase in deaths from COVID-19 by 20 to 499, while the total number of infections went up by 1,377 to 57,246, the Health Ministry reported.
Lebanon's daily increase in COVID-19 cases created concerns among Lebanese authorities who have been adopting tough lockdown measures in certain villages amid a lack of hospitals' beds capable of receiving infected patients.
