Spotlight: Europe tightens rules against COVID-19 resurgence; Dutch returns to "partial lockdown"

BRUSSELS, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Netherlands will return to a "partial lockdown" on Wednesday, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced on Tuesday, in what could be the most aggressive measure taken by European governments to fight a dangerous COVID-19 resurgence.

Apart from the Netherlands, other European countries such as Italy, the Czech Republic and Latvia are adding new restrictions to limit the spread of coronavirus, as some of them have recorded the highest daily cases ever in the past week.
