BERLIN, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- The number of short-time workers in Germany fell from 5.6 million in July to 4.6 million in August, according to a survey among 9,000 companies by the German ifo Institute published on Thursday.
"The decline was relatively hefty in trade, hospitality, and among administrative and support services, but much less pronounced in manufacturing," summarized ifo labor market expert Sebastian Link.
