German shares edge down Friday

FRANKFURT, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 63.16 points, or 0.48 percent, to close at 13,033.20 points.

Deutsche Post lost 3.12 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer which lost 2.69 percent and 2.67 percent respectively.
