Half workers in UK arts, entertainment and recreation industry on furlough


LONDON, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Britain's arts, entertainment and recreation industry has been impacted the most by COVID-19 with half workers furloughed, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) data showed Thursday.

Between July 27 July and Aug. 9, the arts, entertainment and recreation industry had the largest proportion of the workforce furloughed, at 51 percent, compared with 13 percent across all industries.
