LONDON, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.11 percent, or 67.72 points, to close at 6,037.01 points.
AVEVA Group, a British multinational information technology company, soared 7.25 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. GVC Holdings and InterContinental Hotels Group increased by 3.81 percent and 3.37 percent, respectively.
