Morocco's COVID-19 cases surpass 36,000 with 1,499 new infections

RABAT, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Morocco on Wednesday reported 1,499 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections in the country to 36,694.

The total number of recoveries from the coronavirus in Morocco increased to 25,626 after 292 new ones were added, while the death toll rose by 23 to 556, said Mouad Mrabet, coordinator of the Moroccan Center for Public Health Operations at the Ministry of Health.
