VIENNA, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) revised down its forecast of global oil demand for 2020, predicting a year-on-year contraction of 9.1 million barrels per day (b/d) in its monthly report published on Wednesday.
This is 0.1 million b/d lower than last month's forecast, mainly due to lower economic activity levels in a few major non-Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries, according to the report.
