ANKARA (Reuters) - Ankara does not believe it is appropriate for politicians to go to the Incirlik air base in southern Turkey but military and technical delegations are free to visit, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told reporters on Thursday.

A spokesman for Germany's defence ministry said on Wednesday Turkey was blocking the plans of a senior German defence official to visit the base, used in a U.S.-led air campaign against Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria.
