TAIPEI (Reuters) - Taiwan Premier Mao Chi-kuo resigned on Saturday following the defeat of his ruling Nationalist Party in the island's presidential election, the Cabinet said.
The resignation is pro forma in Taiwan for a ruling party when it loses a major election.
