Obama called Ukraine's Poroshenko on ceasefire, peace deal - White House

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama spoke to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday about the situation in Eastern Ukraine, the White House said on Twitter.

The two leaders discussed ongoing work by U.S. and European leaders to establish a ceasefire in the region and a peace deal with neighbouring Russia, the White House said.
