Which brings us to a video that went viral on social media, allegedly of two neighbours from Tangkak getting into a fistfight.

Did this really happen?

Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said police have opened an investigation into a viral video of a fight that allegedly took place at a housing area in Bukit Gambir.

He said the video has been circulating on TikTok and other social media platforms.

"Initial investigations found that the incident stemmed from a misunderstanding between neighbours. The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting," he said here on Saturday (Oct 18).

He added that police have identified all individuals involved and that investigations are ongoing.

Supt Roslan advised the public not to speculate or spread the video as it could disrupt public order and harmony.

"The police urge anyone with information on the incident to come forward and contact the Tangkak district police headquarters at 06-978 1222 or any nearby police station," he said.
