Many cases of falling trees have been reported with injuries and even deaths reported. So did a driver in Rawang escape a falling tree without suffering any injury?

Acting Gombak OCPD Supt Abang Kaderi Awang Wasli said a man escaped injury when the car he was in was crushed by a falling tree at Batu 16, Jalan Kuala Lumpur in Rawang.

Supt Abang Kaderi said police received a call on the incident at 1.20pm on Wednesday (Sept 18).

"Investigations showed heavy rain and thunderstorms caused the tree to fall.

"Firefighters from Rawang fire station managed to move the fallen tree and the 38-year-old man in the SUV was uninjured and safely removed," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
