MORE often than not, any video of motorists behaving dangerously on public roads tends to go viral as such antics are eye-catching and hazardous to other travellers.

Recently, a video of motorcyclists crashing while performing stunts went viral on social media, and there was a claim that it happened near Temerloh, Pahang.

Is there any truth to this?

VERDICT:

TRUE

In a Facebook post on Wednesday (Dec 27), the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) said that the motorcyclists are being tracked down.

The Department added that the motorcyclists were involved in an accident along the East Coast Expressway (LPT1) and said that the crash was recorded by one of the riders near the Temerloh rest stop.

"Pahang JSPT has been instructed to track down the group of riders and conduct an investigation on the incident," the department said.

It also urged those involved to come forward to any nearest police station as soon as possible to assist in the investigation, especially after their number plates have been identified.
