The video clip of a school student being abducted in broad daylight in Kota Masai is in fact from much earlier this year, says Johor police chief Datuk Comm Kamarul Zaman Mamat.
He said on Thursday (Sept 29) that the case has been solved and the suspect has been charged in court.
He added that the case was solved and said that the suspect is of unsound mind and has already been charged in court.
“I can assure the public, especially parents, that there were no other such cases involving kidnapping or abduction of any school student. I hope people will stop forwarding this six-minute video clip,” he said.
Comm Kamarul added that the suspect was arrested by a group of people before being handed over to the police.
