QuickCheck: Are the Kinder chocolate products in Malaysia safe to eat?

RECENTLY, it was reported that Kinder chocolate products from the Fererro Ardennes factory in Arion, Belgium such as Kinder Surprise, Kinder Mini Eggs, Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g, Kinder Schokobons, and Kinder Egg Hunt Kit were found to be contaminated with salmonella typhimurium. However, the Kinder products in Malaysia have been declared safe to eat. Is this true?
