MANILA: Health authorities of the Philippines and the World Health Organisation (WHO) confirmed on Saturday (March 7) a local transmission of Covid-19 (coronavirus) in the country, with the tally of confirmed cases rising to six.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque told reporters that an additional Covid-19 infection has been detected, bringing the total number of cases in the country to six.
