Coronavirus death toll rises to 811 with 2,656 new confirmed cases and 89 new deaths in China


BEIJING (Xinhua): Chinese health authorities on Sunday (Feb 9) said it received reports of 2,656 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection and 89 deaths on Saturday from 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. The death toll now stands at 811.

Among the deaths, 81 were in Hubei Province, two in Henan as well as one in Hebei, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Shandong, Hunan and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region respectively, according to China's National Health Commission.
