MYANMAR, Feb 6, Eleven Media Group/ANN -- THITSAR ANANDA Co Ltd will build hotel, villa and resort projects on Ngwehsaung Beach in Ayeyawady Region with an investment of Ks5.7 billion, according to Ayeyawady Region Investment Committee.
The committee called a meeting (1/2020) at the office of the region's government on January 31, attended by Committee Chairman Hla Moe Aung and seven members.
The company was granted permission to implement those projects at field No.1984 in Ngwehsaung Sub-township, Pathein Township, Pathein District. They will create 57 local jobs.
Since the formation of Ayeyawady Region Investment Committee (ARIC), most investments have been approved in the industrial sector and most investors from China, according to figures available in mid-2019.
ARIC has given permission to 35 businesses to operate. Investments in different sectors are US$40.338 million plus Ks14,892.991 million in industrial sector, US$3.685 million plus Ks10,752 million in electricity sector, Ks36,000 million in transport sector, US$2.880 million plus Ks28,219 million in housing sector, Ks7,219.89 million in hotel and tourism sector, US$0.899 million plus Ks271,435.660 million in livestock sector, US$5.129 million plus Ks300 million in agricultural sector, US$28.706 million in industrial zone construction sector and US$4.020 million plus Ks142,564.105 million in other sectors. Among other investors, China has invested most with US$41.476 million, according to the mid-2019 figures.
