THE all-house-house average price, as measured by the Malaysian House Price Index (MHPI), has been on the upward trend since 2005, registering annual single-digit growth rates until 2012.
In 2009, growth of the MHPI decelerated to 1.5% following the contraction in the domestic economy due to the global financial crisis in 2008/2009.
