MACC, police to jointly investigate MyEG, Zetrix AI

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will work closely with the police to investigate an issue involving My EG Services Bhd (MyEG) and Zetrix AI Bhd.

MACC said it received an official complaint regarding the matter on Oct 7.

It said the commission was aware that the issue was currently being investigated by the police.

“MACC will work closely with the police to review and share information in investigating the matter based on offences that fall under the police’s jurisdiction.

“The police will provide any information indicating elements of corruption for further action by MACC,” it said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 13).

The commission also welcomed cooperation from any party with further information related to the issue.

At the same time, MACC urged all parties to refrain from speculating about the investigation or spreading unverified information that could jeopardise the investigative process.

It said that it would not compromise on the matter and would conduct investigations independently, fairly and in accordance with the law.
