Asai Gamuda Cove, the first Asai hotel in Malaysia, the largest property in the Asai portfolio to date and Gamuda Land’s first hotel development, officially marked its grand opening recently, celebrating a new chapter for the lifestyle brand in Malaysia.

Located within the township and approximately 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Asai Gamuda Cove is the first hotel to debut Dusit’s expanded “Asai Tropical” model, developed for nature-led destinations.

Inspired by the Thai word meaning “to live”, Asai embraces its “Live Local” philosophy by encouraging guests to connect with the destination through authentic local experiences, meaningful social connections and a thoughtful approach to hospitality.

“Asai has always been about connecting guests with the character of the place around them and at Gamuda Cove, that philosophy takes on a new expression,” said Asai Gamuda Cove general manager Bob Yusof.

“As the first property to introduce our expanded Asai, Asai Gamuda Cove brings our “Live Local” philosophy into a nature-led setting, where the wetlands, outdoor experiences and wider destination become part of the stay.

“It allows us to offer something distinctly different from our urban properties while retaining the approachable, social and experience-driven character at the heart of Asai.”

The grand opening was officiated by Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia Lada Phumas, as guest of honour, in the presence of senior representatives from Gamuda Land, Dusit International and Asai Gamuda Cove.

Having welcomed its first guests during the soft opening on Sept 15, the hotel represents a new addition to Gamuda Cove’s growing mix of nature, leisure and lifestyle offerings.

Gamuda Land chief operating officer Wong Siew Lee said, “As Gamuda Cove continues to grow as a destination, Asai adds an important new layer by giving visitors the opportunity to stay and experience the township from within.

“As Gamuda Land’s first hotel development, it complements our nature and leisure offerings while connecting naturally with the wider experience we have been building, from the wetlands and recreational attractions to dining, commercial offerings and our e-tram network. Together, these give people more reasons to stay longer, explore more and experience different aspects of Gamuda Cove.”

Asai Gamuda Cove features 280 rooms, an infinity pool overlooking the wetlands, a fitness centre, co-working areas, flexible meeting spaces and three dining venues.
