Thunderstorms expected across several states until 8pm


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in several states until 8pm on Saturday (Oct 10), says The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a statement on Saturday, it said bad weather is expected over the states of Perlis; Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Sik, Padang Terap, Baling, Pokok Sena, Pendang, Kulim, Bandar Baharu and Kota Setar); Perak (Larut Matang, Kerian, Selama, Manjung, Perak Tengah, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta and Kampar); Kelantan (Gua Musang, Pasir Puteh, Machang and Kuala Krai); Terengganu; Pahang (Rompin, Kuantan, Bentong and Cameron Highlands); Selangor (Gombak, Hulu Langat and Hulu Selangor); Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Jempol, Tampin, Kuala Pilah, Seremban and Rembau) and Johor (Kulai, Johor Bahru, Kluang, Mersing, Kota Tinggi and Segamat)

Over in Sarawak, affected areas are Sri Aman (Lubok Antu) and Kapit (Song).

In Sabah, bad weather is expected in the West Coast (Ranau, Kota Belud and Tuaran) and the interior (Sook, Tambunan, Keningau, Sipitang, Tenom and Pensiangan).
