Two students to be charged with murder of schoolmate

SEREMBAN: Two Form Four students of a sports school in Kuala Pilah will be charged at the Magistrate’s Court with the murder of their 14-year-old schoolmate today.

State CPO Deputy Comm Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said the investigation papers had been forwarded to the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s Office, and the instruction was to charge the duo under Section 302 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 of the same legislation.

The victim, who was in Form 2, was found unconscious at his school hostel on Sept 25.

He was then rushed to Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah in Kuala Pilah, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Both suspects lived in the same hostel block with the alleged victim.

Police obtained an order to remand the first suspect from the Kuala Pilah Magistrate’s Court on Sept 26, and this was later extended to Oct 8.

The second suspect was detained shortly after and remanded from Sept 28 to Oct 9.
