Advancecon is strengthening the value proposition of Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP) for industrial investors through a strategic collaboration with ACEN C&I MY Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of ACEN C&I HK Limited (ACEN C&I).
Originally a distributed generation initiative under ACEN Corporation’s broader sustainability strategy, ACEN C&I has grown to an installed capacity of over 100 MW and represents a strong commitment to accelerating the energy transition for businesses.
With a strong regional footprint and multidisciplinary expertise, ACEN C&I delivers tailored renewable energy solutions that meet the unique needs of commercial and industrial (C&I) clients.
Formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Advancecon Development Sdn Bhd, the master developer of SVTP, and ACEN C&I MY Holdings Sdn Bhd, the collaboration aims to develop cost-effective clean energy solutions that support businesses’ energy needs while enabling them to achieve their environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals.
The collaboration marks another milestone in Advancecon's evolution from delivering major infrastructure projects to developing next-generation industrial ecosystems.
Drawing on more than three decades of experience building the infrastructure that underpins Malaysia's economic growth, Advancecon is applying the same infrastructure-led philosophy to industrial development – bringing together strategic partners, future-ready infrastructure and integrated solutions that help investors establish, operate and expand with confidence.
Rather than requiring every operator to develop its own energy strategy, SVTP aims to simplify the transition to cleaner energy by offering access to reliable and scalable renewable energy solutions.
Companies establishing operations within SVTP are expected to lower their energy costs through impactful renewable energy supply solutions from on-site (rooftop) installations and utility-scale solar projects via the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS) by ACEN C&I.
For businesses with global sustainability commitments or customer-driven decarbonisation requirements, the collaboration will provide access to environmental attributes from renewable energy purchased.
Recognising the growing electrification of commercial transport, the collaboration aims to develop renewable energy to power electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to support the adoption of electric commercial vehicles.
The parties will explore battery energy storage, intelligent energy management solutions and development of a Private Distribution Network (PDN) capable of integrating multiple renewable energy sources into a coordinated energy ecosystem across the industrial park.
Together, these initiatives are intended to provide manufacturers with a flexible energy platform that can evolve alongside their businesses from initial factory operations to future expansion, electrification and decarbonisation.
Advancecon Holdings Bhd group managing director Phum Boon Eng said: "For more than three decades, Advancecon has built the infrastructure that supports Malaysia's growth.
“Today, we are bringing that same infrastructure expertise into industrial development with a simple belief: manufacturers need more than development-ready land – they need an ecosystem that helps them succeed.
“Our role is to anticipate tomorrow's needs by bringing together the right partners, technologies and capabilities that make it easier for businesses to invest, operate and grow. This collaboration with ACEN C&I is an important example of that approach.
“As we prepare to soft launch the first 330.2ha phase of SVTP, we are not just bringing industrial land to market – we are setting the foundation for a next-generation industrial ecosystem designed to create lasting value for manufacturers."
ACEN C&I chief executive officer Kelvin Yuen said: “Industrial parks are critical drivers of energy transition. Integrating renewable energy solutions into the original design of industrial parks is most practical for driving down costs and achieving ESG goals in the long run.”
“Our collaboration with Silver Valley Technology Park presents an opportunity to work with responsible industrial energy users to drive sustainable profitability and growth.”
Silver Valley Technology Park is a 1092.7ha integrated industrial development in Ipoh, Perak, with its 330.2ha first phase jointly developed by Advancecon Holdings Bhd and Perak Corporation Bhd.
Designed to support advanced manufacturing and high-value industries, the park combines strategic connectivity, development-ready infrastructure, government facilitation and an expanding ecosystem of strategic partnerships designed to support investor success.
The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration between the parties to evaluate renewable energy opportunities within SVTP.
The implementation of individual projects will be subject to feasibility studies, regulatory approvals and the execution of definitive agreements.
