SINGER Misha Omar (pic) had hoped to mark her 25th year in the music industry with a stadium concert, but the plan has been put on hold as she makes way for several major events next year, including the SEA Games, Kosmo! reported.
“My dream is to perform in a stadium. When the plan did not work out, I realised there are bigger things happening next year.
“I see myself as small, and what I really want is to have a good time with my fans, so I chose to stay calm and put the plan on hold,” she said.
Still, Misha, whose real name is Samihah Aishah Omar, 44, will celebrate the milestone with her Aku & Lelaki showcase at JioSpace, Petaling Jaya, on Oct 24, featuring her interpretations of songs by male singers from Malaysia, Indonesia and the international music scene.
“I don’t want fans to hear the same thing every time we meet. I want them to enjoy something new and hopefully go home with special memories,” she said.

> A 12-year-old pupil in Miri is already putting aside money for secondary school after earning RM850 from selling his artwork, Harian Metro reported.
Effesus Lazarus Lubau Raymond from SK Long Laput said he was happy that his artwork had allowed him to buy school necessities while also saving for his future education.
“I am happy because the money from selling my artwork allows me to buy school necessities. I am also saving some of it for when I continue my studies in secondary school,” he said.
Effesus is among pupils benefiting from an initiative by teacher Haniff Omar, who has been guiding pupils to produce artwork for sale since 2014.
The works are priced between RM50 and RM200, depending on their size and quality.
Haniff said the biggest reward was seeing pupils realise their talents had value, learn to appreciate their own work and use the income wisely.
He hoped the initiative would continue to encourage more pupils to showcase their artwork and talents.
