PETALING JAYA: A dream turned into a RM10.17mil windfall for a 54-year-old renovation contractor from Sarawak who won the Toto 4D Jackpot 1.
The man said he began betting on the winning number combination of 8622 and 5765 after being inspired by a dream.
“I was having lunch near one of my renovation project sites when something made me decide to buy the numbers again. It was only my second time betting on them.
“I could not sleep the night after finding out that I had won. It is something that I am still taking in,” he said in a statement issued by STM Lottery on Wednesday (Oct 7).
On what he plans to do with the winnings, the man said he had yet to make any major decisions and wanted to plan carefully.
“For now, I intend to keep the money prudently and set aside a portion for my children’s future,” he said.
He won RM10,169,557.55, along with a system play bonus of RM672.
