Melaka polls: Perak BN sending team to aid in Paya Rumput, Sungai Udang

IPOH: Perak Barisan Nasional will deploy a team to assist in two constituencies for the Melaka polls, says Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.

The state coalition chairman said he received instructions from party leaders to help campaign in the Paya Rumput and Sungai Udang state constituencies, which fall under the Tangga Batu parliamentary seat.

"Perak Barisan will be responsible for these two state seats only," he said in a press conference after closing the state-level Innovation Convention at Stadium Indera Mulia here on Wednesday (Oct 7).

The Election Commission announced on Wednesday (Oct 7) that nomination day would be on Oct 31, followed by early voting on Nov 10 and polling on Nov 14.

Saarani, who is also Perak Mentri Besar, said preparations for the state election started about four months ago.

"Our team has been going there to look at the situation," he added.
