KUCHING: Sarawak has launched a cybersecurity strategy and roadmap (SCSR 2030) to strengthen the security and resilience of the state's digital ecosystem.
Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg launched SCSR 2030 after opening the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) here on Monday (Oct 5).
The Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), which developed the five-year roadmap, said it comprises 18 initiatives.
According to the SMA, the strategy has five core pillars: protecting people, businesses and communities; talent development and capacity building; strengthening governance and operational frameworks; and strategic collaboration and cooperation.
SMA said SCSR 2030 brings together government, state-owned enterprises, infrastructure operators, businesses, academia and communities in a common whole-of-Sarawak direction for cybersecurity.
"Every secure system, every cyber-aware business and every informed citizen contributes towards strengthening Sarawak's digital resilience and safeguarding our shared digital future," it said.
