PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited the G Hillstand at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on Sunday (Oct 4), where a large number of Madani ticket holders were seated for the Formula 1 race.

In a Facebook post, Anwar said he also took the opportunity to meet F1 fans attending the event.

“The atmosphere here is lively, with a great view of the circuit as well as the Litar Rasa Madani Carnival, which brings together about 40 local traders offering a variety of food and drinks, including snacks and light meals,” he said.

Anwar said racegoers could enjoy the action on the track while supporting local businesses at the same time.

“While enjoying the race at the circuit, you can also grab a bite and support our traders,” he said.

He also expressed appreciation to the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry, Youth and Sports Ministry and all agencies involved in organising the carnival.

Anwar said the initiative helped ensure that the excitement surrounding Formula 1 also generated economic spillover for local traders.
