Signboard shop destroyed in early morning fire in Taman Ehsan


PETALING JAYA: A fiery early morning blaze gutted a two-storey signboard shop in Taman Ehsan, Kepong, on Saturday (Oct 4).

Firefighters rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 1.50am. Upon arrival, crews found nearly 90% of the 4,000-square-foot shophouse engulfed in flames.

According to Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar, personnel successfully extinguished the inferno by 6.30am before starting overhaul operations.

No injuries or casualties were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
