As part of its continued focus on fostering open dialogue and meaningful engagement with the media community, IHH Healthcare Malaysia brought together media partners and teams from across its Central hospitals at its “Strike in Motion” Media Bowling Engagement 2026.

The engagement welcomed approximately 70 participants and brought together representatives from six Central hospitals: Prince Court Medical Centre, Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Cheras, Pantai Hospital Ampang and Pantai Hospital Klang, alongside the IHH Healthcare Malaysia team and members of the media.

While bowling provided a relaxed setting for the afternoon, the engagement was centred on reconnecting with long-standing media partners, building new connections and creating opportunities for conversations beyond day-to-day media interactions.

IHH Healthcare Malaysia marketing and communications head Khairul Annuar Yusof said strong media relationships are built through consistent, two-way engagement.

“The media plays an important role in connecting organisations with the communities they serve. For us, strong media relationships go beyond press releases and day-to-day interactions.

“They are built by taking the time to listen, understand different perspectives and have open conversations. Strike in Motion gives us an opportunity to do that in a more informal setting.”

The engagement also provided an opportunity to hear directly from media partners about the changing media landscape, including evolving audience expectations, content consumption, new platforms and approaches to storytelling.

“How people consume information continues to change and the way we communicate must evolve with it. Listening to our media partners gives us valuable insight into these shifts and helps us better understand how we can communicate in ways that are relevant, credible and meaningful to the audiences we serve,” Khairul added.

The afternoon also included complimentary health screenings and wellness activities by the participating Central hospitals, bringing a health and well-being element to the engagement.

Strike in Motion" forms part of IHH Healthcare Malaysia's ongoing approach to staying connected with the media community and understanding the evolving media landscape.
