Brickfields cops probing rape case in rented apartment


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a suspected rape of a woman at a rented apartment unit here on Saturday (Sept 26).

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Hoo Chang Hook said police received a report regarding the incident, which allegedly occurred at about 5am.

“The victim was at a rented apartment unit when she was allegedly forced by a man to inhale from a vape.

“She then lost consciousness and, upon regaining consciousness at about 7am, found that she was not wearing her trousers or underwear.

“She also experienced pain in her genital area and suspected that she had been raped,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 29).
