PAS information chief hits out over alleged use of govt agencies against Perikatan

PETALING JAYA: PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has hit out at certain quarters for using government agencies to oppress Perikatan Nasional.

The Pasir Mas MP said that those with power could simply take action, while warning that they too could face similar situations in the future.

"You have the power to do whatever you please, using every government agency to oppress your opponents," he said on his Facebook page on Thursday (Sept 24).

"But remember, the time will come when you, too, will find yourself at the bottom," he added.

The remarks are believed to refer to the two notices sent by the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to Perikatan, with one seeking a reply as to why the coalition should not be deregistered, and the other notifying it to suspend all its activities effective Sept 23.

The notices followed a complaint by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, which claimed that it was not included in a Perikatan supreme council meeting held on July 16.

Bersatu also raised the issue of its membership within the coalition to the RoS.
