GEORGE TOWN: A construction worker died after falling five storeys from the 25th floor of a condominium under construction at Lorong Perak, Jelutong, here on Monday (Sept 21).
North-East District OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rozak Muhammad said a report on the incident came in at 6.50pm.
He said the 31-year-old victim, who was from Myanmar, was found on the 20th floor of the building.
"He was installing boards on the 25th floor when the incident occurred.
"An examination of the body and the scene found no elements of foul play," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 22).
ACP Rozak said the victim’s body was sent to Hospital Pulau Pinang for a post-mortem, while a Sudden Death Report (SDR) had been opened to facilitate further investigation. – Bernama
