Road closures in George Town for Tanjong Lantern Festival tomorrow


GEORGE TOWN: Several roads around Lebuh Armenian, Lebuh Acheh and Lorong Lumut here will be temporarily closed tomorrow (Sept 19) in conjunction with the Tanjong Lantern Festival.

The Penang Island City Council (MBPP) said in a statement that the closure will be from noon until 11.59pm on the same day.

The affected roads are parts of Lebuh Armenian from Lebuh Acheh to Lebuh Cannon, Lebuh Acheh from Lebuh Cannon to Lebuh Carnarvon, and Lorong Lumut.

Members of the public, especially road users, are advised to plan their journeys in advance, follow the closure instructions and use suitable alternative routes.

MBPP said public cooperation and attention were appreciated to ensure the festival proceeds smoothly and safely.- Bernama
